Breakfast πŸ₯°Energy πŸ’–FruitsπŸŽ‡ start the early Spring Mornings rightπŸ˜‹

ONE OF MY FAVORITE FRENCH TOAST

Spring is here and its important to start our day right, we need energy, but we also do not need to be tired and crash with loads of sugar in our breakfast. This is French toast with fruits. Made from scratch, very simple and easy to make in less than ten minutes.

Ingredients :

  • 1 egg (egg white if there is a cholesterol concern)
  • 1 cup Milk (low fat if preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon brown Sugar or Honney if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 slices Bread (per person), you can use any type of bread, I use whole wheat bread.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of grated Nutmeg
  • Butter
  • Fruit of your choice or Bananas, strawberries, blueberries or any other berries

How to Make Easy French Toast Recipe:

  1. MixΒ together the egg, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and ground cinnamon into a wide bowl, you will need room to place the bread flat in the dish, you can use a fork or a whisk to mix the ingredients.
  2. Place a frying pan on the stove, low heat and melt the butter, enough to fry the bread slice but remember we are not deep frying so use your discretion based on the type of bread you will be using. (the bread I have used are actually whole bread does not slice, and I cut the slices based on bow big I wanted it)
  3. Dip each bread slice in the batter on one side and then quickly flip it over to the other side since some sandwich bread will absorb the liquid super quickly. You’ll want to be sure that you are dipping your bread and not leaving it for any time to soak so that the bread does not absorb too much liquid. Make sure to follow this so your bread does not become over soaked with the mixture.
  4. CookΒ once both sides of the bread are coated with the liquid, place them into the frying pan. about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Make sure you do not burn the slice so its is important the heat is low. You want the butter flavor and butter do burn.
  5. Serve immediately with fruit, you can also use butter, fruit spread, jam, syrup, sugar free syrup, any of these choices will taste delicious, as its your choice, I love butter and jam, instead of syrup, plus the fruit has its own flavor so if you like you can go with out the syrup and enjoy the fruit flavor.
  6. Drink to go with your Frinch Toast can be ice cold milk, Tea or Coffee. Whichever one you choose just remember to enjoy your breakfast. The bread will fill you up the fruit will give you energy without making you tired and the rest is for taste
